Snow Running near Watson Lake

Yesterday, Susan and I went down to the Prescott area to pick up a dining room table and some odds and ends Susan found on Craigslist. Also, we used the trip down as an excuse to get some exercise and explore some trails outside of Flag.

The run ended up being a bit shorter that either of us would have liked with our time constraints but we did our best to soak up the fantastic setting and amazing snowy conditions in the desert. We also did our best to not be defeated by some comical slips and me getting GU stuck between my butt cheeks like glue (still not sure where the GU came from cuz I didn't bring any...hmmm).

It was a great trail and someday it would be fun to find ourselves down there again to explore further. The trail system we explored was just north of Watson Lake (just north of Prescott). Find information about Prescott trails here.

Well, here is the run in pictures...

(Does snow running get any better than this?)

(Come on, Jason!)

(Water along the way...)

(Slick rock and snow...yeah!)

(Soak up that sun!)

(A cool bridge that connected boulders above the creek)

(Creek below Watson Lake Dam)

(Heading toward the lookout for Watson Lake...almost made it before turning around.)

(Good stuff!)
